The Subaru “Share the Love” Event is Back

For the past 14 years, our Queensbury dealership has been part of the Subaru Share the Love Event. Subaru of America Inc. sponsors this event, and participating retailers help donate money to those in need. With over 1,700 hometown charities participating, more than $227 million has been raised for charity.

Donatable Charities

Each year, Subaru dealerships like ours highlight several charities in the area to which people can donate. This year, we’re selecting the Under the Woods Foundation and Riley’s Village for people in Granville, Glen Falls, and beyond to donate to.

Under the Woods Foundation

This remarkable foundation is dedicated to helping “differently abled” kids have a fun and enjoyable camping experience. The foundation’s goal is to support community development and promote awareness of children and their families who are impacted by autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. By providing grants and funding for children to attend camps and activities around the region, this foundation aims to enrich the lives of every child with a developmental disability.

Riley’s Village

After a tragic accident that took the life of “Riley” in 2016, his friends and family experienced tremendous compassion and care from the medical staff that cared for him. As a result, those who knew and loved “Riley” wanted to give back, and thus Riley’s Village was born.

Riley’s Village was created to reach out to the community to help those in need and those in the nursing profession. Contributions to Riley’s Village help to support The Riley Olson Education Fund for Nurses at the University of Vermont Medical, the SUNY Adirondack Nursing Program, Red Cross Blood Drive, and the startup Riley Olson Jr. Golf Camp.
